StarMap 3D is a planetarium and starmap for your iPhone or iPod Touch. It contains a database of over 15,000 stars, and all 88 constellations for both hemispheres of the globe.Our App uses your current time and location to show you a map of the visible sky where you are. The map uses night vision-friendly colors, and the menubar is disabled while you browse the night sky to preserve your night vision.Detailed information is provided for all stars, including:* Common star names (Betelgeuse, Vega, etc.)* Visual (apparent) magnitude (brightness)* Absolute magnitude (brightness)* Distance* Spectral class* Planetary positions* Manual location configuration* Grids: celestial, galactic, ecliptic, altazimuthal* Milky WayIn the 3D mode, you can “fly” around the galaxy and view the stars and constellations just as they would appear hundreds of light years from Earth.
